About this campaign

Pride Juice is a 100% locally produced vegetable and fruit juice, an initiative of Local2Local and Impact Hub Nederland, created to support the acceptance of queer youth in rural communities. In the countryside the queer community still faces daily reminders that acceptance is not a given — a sharp contrast with life in the Randstad cities — and this project aims to change that. The purple variant is blended from purple carrots, ginger, lemon, and apple juice grown by regional farmers. By pre-ordering or donating you help fund the cause while enjoying a natural, regionally grown juice, with a portion of every bottle supporting the Young Gay Farmers network.

A bottle with a backbone

The purple blend — purple carrots, ginger, lemon and apple — is genuinely delicious, properly sharp and not at all sugary. But what makes me reorder is what it stands for: a share of every bottle goes to supporting queer youth in the countryside, and that is woven into the project rather than bolted on. Sanne and the Local2Local team are open about exactly where the carrots come from. Easy five stars.

Backed it for the cause, kept it for the taste

I first chipped in because I liked what the campaign is doing, and only afterwards realised how good the juice actually is — the ginger really comes through. The updates from the team are warm and frequent. Four stars only because it is seasonal and there was a stretch where the purple variant sold out before the next pressing was ready. Worth the wait, but plan ahead.

Lovely juice, ordering could be smoother

No complaints about the product — it is fresh, local, and the cause is one I am glad to back. My honest feedback is logistical: choosing between pickup and delivery was a little fiddly the first time, and my delivery slot shifted by a few days without much warning. Once it arrived it was perfect. I would back it again, I would just sort out collection earlier.
