Jan-Willem Bakker (De Waddel) is a sheep farmer on the island of Texel who, together with fellow sheep farmer Arjen Boerhorst and arable farmer Klaas Lap, is building biodiversity, circular agriculture, and local-regional sales of genuine Texel products. This campaign helps grow roughly 700 kilos of peas as part of closing the nutrient loop on Texel. The peas are turned into real Texel pea soup (snert), tied in with the island's lamb. It is one of the ways Dapper. works to close the cycle on Texel with care for the landscape and nature.
- Texel-grown peas and pea soup (snert)
- Tied to Texel lamb and circular farming
- Biodiversity built into the landscape
- Genuine island product
- Short regional supply chain
Backing a farm is a real-world commitment. Here's what the farmer has flagged could affect this campaign.
