Radically local and you can taste it

What sold me is that every single ingredient is Dutch and organic — the tea, the beet sugar, the seasonal botanicals from pollinator-friendly growers. It is not sweet and not vinegary, just properly balanced. Jasper at De-Grow Lab is genuinely obsessed with keeping the whole chain nearby, and after a few bottles you start to taste what that care does. It has replaced my afternoon fizzy drink entirely.

Every batch is consistent, which is harder than it sounds

Small-batch ferments can be all over the place, but Nabij has been reliably good across every run I have had. The seasonal flavour notes shift a little — a more floral one in spring — without the base ever wobbling. I like that the campaign is upfront about funding a permanent production run rather than a one-off. My flatmate, a kombucha sceptic, now steals mine.

Convenient pickup, would buy again

The pickup point is a short cycle from my place, which makes restocking effortless. Quality has been steady the whole time I have held fractions. I dropped a single star only because around the holidays the collection window was tight and I had to make a second trip. Minor — the kombucha itself is excellent.
